Hello and welcome to our store!

We'd like to use this space to tell you a little about ourselves. Our history is that we are avid hobbyists and woodworkers. Over the years we had stockpiled a collection of old woodworking plans and old woodworking books for our own personal entertainment. Then one day, we decided to see if anyone would be interested in our collections. We launched ourselves online by selling on ebay.  We found good success and good response to our plans on ebay and the business slowly started to take off.

With our success underway, we decided to expand our offering in to include old, odd, and unique movies that are hard to find. We quickly built up a collection of some of the most unique and hard to find films available on the internet.

Today, the mission of The Classic Archives to compile the most unique, hard to find, rarest old films and old books available and offer them for sale at the best available prices. We cover a wide range of interesting and unique products, all in one easy to use, and secure webstore. Our products are intended to entertain, educate, enlighten, and provoke dialogue. If we accomplish just one of those goals, we consider it a successful sale.

We still believe in the same principles today as we did our first day on ebay. Take care of the customer, and the customer will take care of you. We strive in being more than just an anonymous website. We are a family owned and run business and we are never more than an email away. We ship products 6 days a week and aim for 100% customer satisfaction. We always encourage our customers to contact us if they have questions or concerns.

We still sell on ebay from time to time, mostly to promote this website. The cold hard fact is, ebay's fees keep climbing. Their latest fee increases have forced us to revisit our business plan. If we were to remain on ebay full time, we would have had to raise our prices, and we didn't want to do that. Therefore, we have moved our business over to this site, as this site allows us to advertise more inventory than we ever could on ebay, which is why you will always see many more items on this site than you see in our ebay listings.
