Order Status and Account FAQs

FAQS for theclassicarchives.com

What does the order status mean?

When you first place an order, your order status will be "processing".  This will be emailed to you, and also available from your my account page.  When we review your order and confirm your payment information, your order will be filled.  At this time, your order will change to "Packaged and on route".  You will also receive an automatic email notification of this status change.  This means that your order will be shipped out on the next business day the USPS is operating.  Therefore, if you place your order on Saturday, and your receive this notification Saturday night, your order will be in the mail on Monday.  If you place your order on a Monday night and receive this email on a Monday night, it means your order will be mailed on Tuesday.  You will receive no other order status emails other than this.  If for some reason you do not get an order status email from us within a day of your order, it is possible our email server is backed up, and your order still likely went out on time.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

When I click on My Account, I used to be able to see my order, I can't anymore, what's up with this?

We regularly purge our order files off of our server, typically after 30-60 days.  If your order was made during this time and you no longer see it, it just means we purged our order files.

I can't login and when I try to retrieve my password, your system says my email address was not found in the system?

We recognize the fact that we are not Walmart, and while we work hard to get your repeat business we also know that we won't have hundreds of repeat purchases from each customer.  We also believe in protecting your information.  Therefore, we also purge our customer files from time to time with customer who have not logged in to our site for a long time.  This keeps our database running more efficiently.  We don't have a set time frame for doing this, it just depends on whether or not our database is getting bogged down.  If this happens to you, simply create a new account and you are good to go.

It could also mean you gave us in invalid email address when you ordered from us last.  You are under no obligation, of course, to provide us with a valid email address.  If you do provide us with a valid email address, you will be able to get our email confirmations, noted above.  If you provide us with an invalid email address, and our order confirmations bounce back to us, your account information is simply deleted from our records.  That just means you will need to create a new account the next time you shop with us.
