This DVD is a collection of films from the 20's through the 60's, aimed at exploring life in the future, specifically as to how it involves life at home, and yes of course, the kitchen.  We look at how much easier it will be to do things and to save time as technology progresses.  There are films that go outside the kitchen, but still the focus is life in the future, and how much better it will be.  An entertaining look at the past, as they attempt to look in the future.

General Motors 1961 Motorama film presenting new cars, appliances and futuristic ideas.

American Look (1958)

The definitive Populuxe film on 1950s automotive, industrial, interior and architectural design.  This film is a celebration of form, function, and style, a perfect example of 50s style, which is one of the most aesthetically pleasing forms of design of the 20th century.

Tongue-in-cheek film showing a domestic robot freeing housewives of their chores (and intimating that their work is hardly necessary); actually a promo showing how relays and switches function in the modern automobile. Shown at the New York World's Fair in 1940.

Ford commercial linking new compact cars to futurism and the space frontier.  One of the most memorable ads I have ever seen, this delightful ad will please many people, and is great fun for musical fans as they introduce The Galaxie, The Thunderbird, and the Falcon, the cars of the future!!
