Originally made in the 40's and 50's during the Cold War, these films were designed to educate American's on the value of Capitalism and what it means to the American way of life.  Faced with a showdown with the largest Communist nation in the world, the United States Government wanted to educate our citizens on what we were fighting and who we were up against.

Today, while the threat of an outside Communist takeover is not real, the threat itself is very much real.  Only in modern times, the threat comes from within.  A growing segment of our population, as well as our elected officials, seem to enjoy aggravating class warfare and initiating a "soak the rich" atmosphere.  Some politicians actually believe the way to create jobs for our people is to tax and regulate our businesses, to make it harder for them to do business.  This bitterness and desire to see America become a welfare state, of "We Want This!" and where competition is thwarted, is clearly warned against in these DVDs.  Our educators, themselves paid by the state, are actively trying to sabotage Capitalism and indoctrinate our young.  These leads us to elect politicians who want to spread the wealth, so instead of having a rich class, a middle class, and a poor class, we all become poor and supposedly happy.  These films are meant to educate, enlighten, and inform against the evils of communism and socialism, and what it really means to be a capitalistic nation.  If there is one DVD to show to your children, to make them realize that America is the only place in the world where someone who works hard can move out of being poor and into being rich, this is it.

In our opinion, here at The Classic Archives, these DVD's should be required viewing for every American, and doubly so for every politician.

When you look at some of these films, and watch the sections on communism and socialism, it is downright frightening to how much of that reminds us of some aspects of modern day life, and most especially, our elected officials.

While our other volumes have generally focused on understanding Capitalism, the general theme of this set is understanding how truly evil and oppressing communism has been on its own people.  Witness how many people have been killed in the struggle for power.

Lecture given by Dr. George S. Benson, President of Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas.  This film is part two of a television program of lectures given by Dr. George S. Benson, the president of Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas. In this program, he redefines the meaning of peace from the point of view of communism. Communists are promoting peace fronts to get Kennedy to eliminate atomic weapon power, since they are stronger in manpower. Peace to a Communist means eliminating capitalism and Communists will engage in this cold war until they can compete in a "hot war". Co-existence to a Communist means, "you leave me alone until I'm strong enough to knock your block off", which Dr. George S. Benson predicts they could compete with us in atomic power by the years 1970-1975. They will fight the cold war and fight capitalism by going undercover and gaining leadership over many non-communist organizations, by infiltrating employees and alienating them from their employers, and by concentrating on women's organizations and appealing to colored workers, appearing to be the party of the collective and the worker.
