This DVD contains the
complete contents of the 12-volume Jewish Encyclopedia, which was
originally published between 1901-1906. The Jewish
Encyclopedia, contains over 15,000 articles and illustrations.
This version contains the contents of the
original encyclopedia. Since the original work was completed about 100
years ago, it does not cover a significant portion of modern Jewish
History (e.g., the creation of Israel, the Holocaust, etc.). However, it
does contain an incredible amount of information that is remarkably
relevant today.
The 1901 Jewish Encyclopedia, prepared by more than four hundred
scholars and specialists, was a descriptive record of the history,
religion, literature and customs of the Jewish people from the earliest
times to that day.
We include all 12 volumes of the encyclopedia, in PDF format, as well as
an introductory guide to the contents of the encyclopedia and how to use
it.
