Drive-In theatres are mainly a gone these days, replaced
by multi-plexes with surround sound systems and comfy
chairs, etc. In my home state, there are 3 Drive-In's
left in the entire state! It was a magical time in
American history. Driving up your car into a gravel
parking lot, putting a ratty old speaker on your car window,
run out to the concession stand to get some snacks, make out
in the back seat with your honey, etc. Sadly, that era
has generally passed us by.
This rare DVD contains a
collection of 57 unique and very hard to find clips of short
ads that were routinely played at drive-ins across the
country before the shows, and during intermission.
Also contained is a 10 minute intermission clock that
contains more short clips. Included are ads for food
from the snack stand, ads for various local business, and
even how to use your speakers! For someone handy with
video editing, this could be used for a fun project for your
own home theatre system. Whatever your interests, grab
a greasy burger, sit back on the couch, and reminisce about
the good 'ole days with your loved ones, about a magical
time in your hearts. |
