
Learn how to speak Amharic

Amharic, the official language
of the Ethiopian Empire, is spoken natively by perhaps six
million people in a small but populous area of the country
which includes the capital, Addis Ababa. A member of the
Southern Semitic branch of the Afro-siatic family of
languages, Amharic is steadily gaining importance as it
picks up additional speakers through the spread of
communications and education within Ethiopa.
This foreign
language course was developed by The Foreign Services
institute. It is meant to be used as a crash course in
a foreign language for basic conversational ability by a
foreign traveler or diplomat. It is an introductory
course meant for beginners and includes basic conversational
language by native speakers.
This course
consists of 60 lessons in mp3 format, with 2 student texts
in PDF format of over 1,000 pages. Adobe Reader is
required to view the PDF files, while the mp3 files can be
listened to by any audio player on your PC.

time of course: 20 hours, 44 minutes, 41 seconds.
A must have resource for any foreign traveler!

This disk contains this
foreign language course in MP3 format. This is not for

disk in your PC, click on "My Computer" and click on the
disk to open the files. You can copy the MP3 files to
your PC, and then load them on to any MP3 player of your
